CAD & FABRICATION

Design, 3D Printing, and Laser Cutting

All of my large hardware projects require custom parts to house components in an elegant yet functional manner. I have worked with PLA on my Prusa i3 MK2 printer, resin on SLA machines, and acrylic on laser cutters.

Robot Chassis

I designed a bi-layer chassis for my robot in Adobe Illustrator and laser cut it out of cast acrylic. I aligned standard M3 and M2.5 mounting holes for the electronics and cutouts for cables. The expandable design leaves room for new layers, components, and RGB LED lighting.

Pantheon

What started as a school Latin project turned into a detailed replica of the Pantheon, designed perfectly to scale. I placed careful attention to trims around the edges that are so intricate they cannot be seen in this rendering.

From problem to printed part in 30 hours

A client has approached me several times to create custom pieces to mount security cameras in unique locations. Each design had different requirements to solve issues of camera angle or surface material. Within 30 hours, I modeled and printed this enclosure which attaches to a fragile, glass elevator panel and easily slides out in the event of maintenance.
